Mike Dyer subject of transfer rumors yet again

Michael Dyer was Arkansas State’s biggest get this offseason, though he won’t play a down for the Red Wolves this fall.

Turns out, Dyer could be moving on again without ever having to.

It was reported by Matt Miller of NFL Draft Scout that Dyer could be transferring to Division II program Pittsburg State. Dyer, who came to Arkansas State from Auburn, had his waiver for immediate eligibility denied by the NCAA earlier this month. In transferring down a level, Dyer could play right away.

A decision should be made soon one way or the other.

In the next day or two he’ll figure out his future,” Arkansas State coach Gus Malzahn said on ESPN Radio’s Scott Van Pelt show. Malzahn was the offensive coordinator at Auburn during Dyer’s two years there.

On a related note, a Friday press conference has been called by Arkansas State. The school won’t say why, but y’all are smart enough…

He must have nothing better to do waiting out a year, like working on his education.
