APSome links from around college football on a Thursday…
- Ben Jones of Statecollege.com has four alternatives to the Death Penalty for Penn State.
- Schools need to get control of their athletic program and you know who should start the process, writes Pat Forde.
- The city of Grambling wants some of Joe Paterno‘s wins vacated (Grambling State University coach Eddie Robinson had 408 victories). Guess what? It’s not your call. Oh, and get your priorities together.
- One PSU trustee has stepped down, according to the Centre Daily Times.
- A reserve ECU lineman was arrested for a felony drug-related charge. Hooray!
- Not 100 percent football related, but cool if you like this kind of stuff (which I do, which is why it’s linked here). The best places to grab a bite to eat in ACC country, courtesy of D1Source.
- Mark Richt, Georgia have been hurt by too many recruiting risks.
- Purdue got a $2 million gift from a donor.

Swofford is meeting with the Clemson BOT to discuss the future of the ACC, TV rights & expansion.
The Clemson BOT doesn’t even like Swofford. I wonder if Jim was invited or asked to make a pitch?
Hey, Grambling: seriously? I just read about an 18 year old who was murdered … Maybe you should go to his house and ask his grieving parents if you can pick through his stuff, since he’s not using it anymore.

One down, at a minimum, several others to go.
Many schools do have control of their athletic programs; they are called also rans. PSU wouldn’t be leading the way in anything….they’d just be joining the majority of NCAA schools.
That right there what Grambling is doing is the type of crap that makes me sick, to take a tragedy and try to exploit it the victims and try and turn it into a personal gain is scumbag level and for it to be coming from that place isnt suprising considiring the residents there same ol song and dance from those type people all over the state …….so glad I moved out of Louisiana…I love my home state but just cant stomach the way the majority of THOSE people act
