holden going to lsu is a big deal. he will provide depth and experienced alternative in case mettenburg doesn’t work out. plus, Alabama has experience kicking his ass. Roll Tide Roll!
“Much of the paint has already been removed, but work continues where “UCKS” was added onto the end of “Southern Miss” in the south end zone.”
C-USA trash talk: it’s so quaint.
Alabama has experience at buying championships…nothing else. Everyone who is NOT a Bama fan (those of us who have all of our teeth and didnt marry our sisters) can’t wait till January to crown a LEGITIMATE National Champion again.
dcdebacle- That was hilarious. You lured us in with some X’s & O’s talk and in classic Bammer fashion dropped a nugget. I do have the Tide as my sleeper pick to beat USC in the title game this year.
tlmoon: OK, you’re gonna need to justify that comment. “Buying” championships? Please explain how their championships were “bought”. If anything, seems like you’d say that about Auburn in 2010 w/ Cecil Newton pimping out Cam to the highest bidder. So I’m curious as to how Alabama has experience only in “buying” championships. If you wanna gripe about 2011, fine (although it still wan’t “bought”)…but do you not remember WAY back in 2009 when they went 14-0? What was illegitimate about that?
TheGeneral7694 – no dog, in fact I rooted for Auburn in that BCS Natl Champ game so dont take me wrong. Why? Because Auburn won the conference and represented our conference…rep’d it well I might add. If you go look at Wikipedia you’ll see, 2011 Bama is the ONLY NON-CONFERENCE WINNER to play in the game, much less win it. THEY DIDNT BELONG THERE, PERIOD. Go back to 2006 when #1 Ohio State beats #2 Michigan in the last regular season game and listen to the Wolverine cries of “we deserve a rematch!”….DENIED. Alabama and the SEC are basically saying that game should have happened instead of Florida (the SEC Conference winner) playing Ohio State and embarrassing them. When I say “buying” I mean that backroom deals took place between Saban and others to allow them in that game, they simply didnt belong there……period. Im not referring to ANY OTHER championship Bama has ever won. CANNOT WAIT TILL WE HAVE PLAYOFFS AND A LEGITIMATE CHAMPIONSHIP!
moon, you ignorant slut. Every college year is different, just like you and every other street walker handing out jobbos for 5 bucks. Michigan didn’t deserve a rematch just as much as Alabama did last year. which is to say, the right team played in the championship. okst wouldve been demolished by the lsu defense, while not being able to slow down their offense. lsu vs. alabama may not have been the most entertaining game(though infinitely more enjoyable than that clemson bowl bull) but it was a game played by the 2 best teams. Alabama had arguably the best defense, statistically, in football history. just because the game ended 21-0, it was the second most competitive game of the year. if you can’t see that, then you are feeling yourself. now get back to work, I think you have a customer waiting.
and by the way, if wikipedia is your information gathering torch bearer, you might want to form a study group and explore the world of lemmings.
Moon: OK, so you think Bama didn’t deserve to be there…ok. That’s fine. But that’s a far cry from “Alabama has experience in buying championships…nothing else.” I mean, that’s what you said. I asked about WAAAAY back in 2009, and your response was…nothing. You can think that Okie State deserved a shot…no problem with that, and reasonable minds can disagree. But….”Saban’s backroom deals”? Dude, you’re just making that $hit up as you go, and we both know it. You’re making yourself sound like one of the tinfoil hat crowd…..
