raysfan1: Yep, that is what I heard also. Based upon the ill conceived law, they have him for being under 21 and drinking before driving. Though if he were 25, he would not have been arrested.

Actually Garcia’s problems were breaking school and team rules/policy. NOT breaking the law.(except the keying incident his freshman year), Doesn’t make it right, just not the same.

Alot of QBs have bad habits at home and even bring them along to college with them.Example Pike from Auburn these kids can`t even begin to know how they are screwng up their futures.College is the roadmap to the NFL for these guys and most just don`t seem to care.But now with Garcia thats all together a different story.

You make a good point: he was not cited fo DUI and while that is important, speeding is speeding. I certainly understand your point about putting your life on the line, but not able to consume alcohol until age 21. I just don’t know if some 18 yr olds are mature enough to know when.

Young men (and women) can go fight on a foreign land and give their lives in the fight, then return home here and cannot legally drink adult beverages? Something is wrong with this.

Tanner was not popped for DUI, just drinking underage and speeding? I sped yesterday, following at a safe distance a cross country truck driver.

I think the charges will be dropped, reduced, or since he is a first time offender, he will be given some community service and record expunged.

No worries. Stevie “5 chances” Spurrier will keep him on the field. Not gonna make a little minor thing like speeding and drinking underage while doing it, keep him from contending for a backup position QB slot.
