With his days at Ohio State and Alabama officially behind him, receiver Duron Carter has started his time with FAU.
Following up on a report that Carter was headed to FAU, the receiver is enrolled in the school and participated in practice Saturday with the Owls, according to FAUOwlAccess.com.
“I am happy for him,” said Carter’s father, former NFL receiver Cris Carter. “Coach Pelini and coach Sims have given him a chance. He’s glad to have a chance and he’s glad to be home”
Carter had academic related issues at Ohio State and Alabama. He is expected to apply for a waiver from the NCAA that would allow him to play immediately.
Git ‘r done Pelini.
Duron had academic issues at tOSU, Alabama and Coffeyville Community College. I hope he has matured enough so that he can handle the class work at FAU. Chris Carter was originally a walk-on at tOSU and earned a scholarship. It looks like Duron inherited his father’s football skills, but not his work ethic.
