APAuburn coach Gene Chizik finally opened up about Zeke Pike earlier this week by announcing the freshman quarterback would not return to the team. Pike was sent home to Kentucky earlier this summer by Chizik for getting charged with public intoxication,
Reportedly, that’s where he’ll stay.
AuburnUndercover.com reports that Pike will transfer to Louisville… and line up as a tight end instead of a quarterback. Pike hasn’t reported to fall practices like the rest of the team, but the report adds that he is expected to next week.
Eric Crawford of WDRB in Louisville tweets Pike is headed to UL, but there’s been no confirmation from Louisville (and there won’t be officially) as of yet.
It would be a good move for Pike if the reports come to fruition. Louisville is located nearby Pike’s hometown of Fort Mitchell, KY, so Pike could be closer to his family. However, Pike would not be able to play until 2013.
Louisville is no dry county so Zeke Pike you can drink all you want and stay sh*t faced every night.lol
Say it ain’t so zeke! A freaking tight end? Actually this could be your best shot at the nfl. He can run but can he catch???
Now we know why AU cut him loose, he aint no SEC QB.
I’m from Northen Kentucky and its funny to hear how he wont be a QB at the next level. Everyone wanted to talk about how he was good at it. Sounds kind of like my buddy who plays for a high school not far from where Zeke played who will probably be a TE as well. Although Durham is more build like a Tight End than Pike.
I think Pike just wanted to get back to Kentucky close to where his pappy makes the moonshine. What a wasted scholarship he became,Au should be happy to get rid of such a waste.
u hate to see a kid waste and opportunity to play in the SEC, but he’s had an attitude problem from the get go…maybe he should have spent more time preparing for his future and less time getting drunk and tweeting crap about BAMA and he’d still be at AU…
Kids now a day cannot have any ‘fun’ without alcohol. A shame.

I can see that you’re setting up the future “Zeke Pike Hardship Waiver” series of posts…
