Pitt suspends offensive lineman for the season

Pitt Logo

Apparently, fall practice means the start of the football season and multiple game suspensions.

Or, in the case of Pitt offensive lineman Juantez Hollins, a suspension for the entire season. Panthers coach Paul Chryst said Friday in a release that Hollins “violated team rules” (of course) and will be out for all of 2012. He will still be a member of the football team, however.

“Even though he will not play in any games, Juantez will remain an active and valuable member of our program and be accountable every day in practice and in the classroom,” Chryst said.

Hollins played in 13 games last year and started in seven.

Also, Chryst announced sophomore quarterback Mark Myers would be leaving the program. Myers only completed one pass last season.

Myers has a rifle for an arm, but he looks like he’s playing in quick-sand.

If this had been Penn State, Paterno would’ve been all over the Judicial Affairs people to let the player off the hook with a cosmetic punishment……..because sacrificing morals and ideals for wins is the Penn State Way and an integral part of The Grand Experiment.

    Brilliant @ I hate Goodell.

15 yard penalty for piling on…… Jahgoff

Same could be said for 75% of programs to date. And no, I’m not a Penn State fan.

Regarding Penn State: They are paying the price for their stupidity and only God will be able to judge them for their despicable act of cowardliness. Move on…….

May God bless all those affected by the egregious monstrosities that have been committed against those young boys.

And @ I hate Goodell, I apologize for calling you a jahgoff.

This just shows how irrelevant Pitt is-the comments immediately turn to Penn St.
