Transferring to Utah State prior to spring practice earlier this year, Cade Cowdin was in the mix to compete for a starting linebacking job in summer camp.
Late last month, however, Cowdin decided to leave the OSU football program. And now, less than a week later, the linebacker has a new football home.
Utah State confirmed Friday that Cowdin has transferred into the football program and will be an Aggie in 2012. The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Cowdin will be eligible to play immediately this season.
Cowdin came to the Beavers before the start of spring practice this year from the JUCO ranks, and exited the sessions No. 2 on OSU’s depth chart.
I’m going to assume this supposed to say “Transferring to Oregon State prior to spring practice earlier this year” in the first paragraph …?
