APAs of yesterday, Miami quarterback Stephen Morris was atop the Hurricanes’ depth chart.
With just over two weeks from the start of the season, UM has confirmed that won’t change between now and the team’s first game against Boston College.
Miami offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch said Tuesday morning that Morris will definitely start against the Eagles.
Morris and Memphis transfer Ryan Williams have been locked in a tight battle for the job, but Williams got a head start in the spring because Morris was sidelined with a back injury. Morris was cleared to return to offseason workouts in May.
Morris also started last year’s season opener against Maryland when the ‘Canes were short-handed due to multiple NCAA suspensions. Incumbent starterĀ Jacory Harris would later return from his suspension and finish the rest of the 2011 season as the starter. Morris finished the year with 283 yards and no touchdowns.
Man Williams should be starting. I hope they dont hold on to Morris like they did Harris and throw away 2 more seasons.
Doesn’t matter who they start—4 wins tops.
National Champions!
THUG U!
DEATH PENALTY a comin!
no way dude, if raping boys a-la-Penn State doesnt get it NO ONE will.
At least we don’t rape women. It’s gonna be another tough year. I’ll be happy with 1 win, against fsu
Morris named starter? Just more bad news. The kid has a terrible football IQ. He couldn’t beat out Jokecory.
Say something delusional and supportive of the canes, all the cane fools click like.
Say something based on DATA that reminds them that they are an atrocious and irrelevant program? They all dive for the dislike button.
But by all means, PLEASE click dislike on my comment to confirm that all you DELUSIONAL UM fools re getting the message.
I can’t believe how irrelevant we have become. I’ll be glad when the sanctions come down so I can stop stressing over if we can just make it to .500.
It amuses me to see the stupidity of people. The death penalty? Really? For what? Because a scorned felon said that they were taking money? A UF player received more money from a fundraiser (which is a violation) and all he got was a four game suspension. Btw i’d also like to point out that the Hurricanes haven’t had nearly as many players in trouble with the law as UF so the Thug U distinction is now theres. Get out of the old days people.
