More offensive line woes for Texas Tech

texas tech

There’s something about offensive line attrition this preseason.

Texas Tech already announced this week that lineman Matt Wilson would be lost for the season because of an ACL injury he sustained in the spring. Now, the Red Raiders will lose two-year starter Brian Thomas.

According to coach Tommy Tuberville, Thomas was sliding down the depth chart for a variety of reasons. Tuberville also said that safety Urell Johnson would be transferring to Southern Miss.

It’s a tough blow for TTU as both Wilson and Thomas were either working with the first team — Terry McDaniel had been sidelined with a concussion — or were one-time starters.
