Getty ImagesYesterday’s injury news surrounding Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel was, shall we say, a bit scattered.
The injury was severe… then it wasn’t… then no one knew for sure.
Now we do, and it’s not that serious. Gators coach Will Muschamp spoke with the media Wednesday — two days before he was scheduled to — so he could clear things up. Driskel has a bruised shoulder blade which he sustained Sunday evening, but it will not keep him out of practice.
“I don’t know how some of these things get caught like wildfire, and it traveled, but that’s it,” Muschamp said. You can watch the interview with Muschamp HERE, courtesy of the Tampa Bay Times.
Had Driskel been out for an extended period of time, it would have serious implications on the Gators’ quarterback battle between Driskel and Jacoby Brissett. Instead, it looks like it’ll continue in the weeks leading up to the start of the season.
