Washington boots pair of players

In a press release short on both words and specifics, Washington announced that two Husky football players are now former Husky football players.

In the release, head coach Steve Sarkisian announced that Joshua Perkins and Willis Wilson have been dismissed from the football program. The only reason given was, of course, unspecified violation of team rules.

The release ended with “Coach Sarkisian, nor the University, will have any further comment on this matter.”

Perkins, a redshirt freshman, was recently moved from wide receiver to tight end. He was a three-star member of UW’s 2011 recruiting class.

The sophomore Wilson is a walk-on who the Seattle Times described as the No. 4 running back, but also “was being counted on to provide some depth this season with Deontae Cooper again out for the year with a knee injury.”
