APThe spate of transfers continues unabated Saturday, with a new member of the SEC gaining a player at the expense of one of the old members.
As first reported by PowerMizzou.com, offensive lineman Mitch Hall confirmed on his Facebook page that he’s decided to leave Ole Miss and will transfer to Missouri.
“It’s now official. God is leading me on a new journey and I’m transferring to Missouri,” Hall wrote in the social media posting. “I would like to thank everyone at Ole Miss for everything and best of luck to the Rebels this season.”
Hall told the website that the twin departures of Rebels head coach Houston Nutt and his brother Matt Hall — a former starting offensive tackle at Ole Miss who is no longer on the team — laid the groundwork for what he described as “a fresh start.”
A member of the Rebels’ 2011 recruiting class, both Ole Miss and Missouri were his two finalists. He redshirted as a true freshman last season.
