TCU officially finishes the Story transfer

Gary Patterson AP

It took a few days following original reports out of Florida, but former Gators wide receiver Ja’Juan Story has officially been added to TCU’s football team.

The school announced the transfer in a release Tuesday. The story was originally reported by the Tampa Bay Times. Per NCAA transfer rules, Story will have to sit out a season and will be eligible beginning in 2013.

For anyone still wondering about a connection, TCU recently added former Miami head coach Randy Shannon to Gary Patterson‘s coaching staff as the team’s linebackers coach. Story was recruited by Shannon when he was still the coach of the Hurricanes.

Story was a four-star recruit in Will Muschamp’s 2011 class, but redshirted his freshman season.

TCU could win the Big XII this year. Had a “bad” year last year with two losses (Heisman winner and SMU in OT).

Story should be a big addition next year.
