The timing stinks but this team will be fine without him. That is the one position that Tennessee has tons of talent and can afford this loss. Frankly, it was time for Rogers to go. He was in trouble last year. He is a diva. Good for Dooley.

Trojan – this has nothing to do with the Tennessee program being a mess. Its one bad apple and this team will survive. The trojans have had their issues with WRs too.

Well this opens the door wide for Patterson to make his big splash, still would have rather done it with 3 WRs but Freshmen will be counted on again to contribute.

I would really like to know what Da’Rick did. He was previously involved in a bar fight in which an off duty cop received a fractured skull! I thought he should have been kicked off the team then and there but he was the crown jewel, five star in Dooley’s first recruiting class. I guess whatever happened was pretty serious or perhaps this was just the final straw. In either case I am glad Dooley finally made the right decision and got rid of this dirt bag. It sure makes retaining his job more difficult so I am sure it was a difficult decision. Whether or not he is the Vols coach next year I admire this decision.

Tennessee is a mess. As an SC fan, this makes me very happy. The way much of the fan base acted when Kiffin left was flat out creepy.

He could be so much better if he were just a decent person and could stay out of trouble for five minutes. In the end, I wonder if a professional team will be willing to take a chance on him? He has probably already cost himself a cool million at least by where he goes in the draft in the future, assuming he is not in a jail someplace. Georgia dodged a bullet, when he changed his verbal to Tenn. I hate to see young kids throw away their future, but sometimes the tiger can’t change his stripes.
No worries though, because Dooley, will suspend him for one cupcake game and he will be back on the field. Dooley needs to win this year.
