If he was a regular student he would not be subject to random drug testing and he would only get kicked out if he flunked classes.

The rumor is that he “might” return to LSU to next year, that’s if they would even take the chance on him. None the less, the rumor exists. Here is what I want to know: if this was a non-student athlete, much less a Heisman finalists, would they even consider letting a regular student come back after being kicked out due to student violations of the ethics code? Or even substance abuse? Not unless he could make the school millions.

Totally love that he is trying to get himself fixed up.. Not sure how taking football away from him will help him. Can’t play and stay clean with help? Seems like football could be a helpful distraction.

John Lucas invited Tyrann to his facility so obviously Lucas thought he was worth it and worth the extensive amount of personal time he has spent with Tyrann counseling and encouraging him since he arrived in Houston. You can email or telephone John Lucas to let him know you think “hes wasting a spot” in his rehab facility.

Update: Tyrann’s doin great at Rehab. Hes admitted to his mistakes and has also stated that he wants to get his life together and concentrate on the positive things in life. He has said over and over that he appreciates those that have shown concern and said prayers for him and his family. And as one of those friends I want to say thank you as well. When he gets thru with Rehab you’re goin to see a new man and quite frankly I believe you’re goin to see one that’s more dedicated to doin whatever it takes to have his life on the straight and narrow. As for his love for the game, it’s still there and he’s hopin that he’ll be able to play again. I concur with that because with his God given talent it doesn’t need to go to waste. Contrary to popular belief Tyrann’s a good kid and he’s goin to prove himself worthy. Gatorsnapper, thanks for all the nice things you’ve said and please do tell southernpatriots my thoughts and prayers are with them and their’s.

As I posted earlier, Tyrann is doing what is best for himself at this time. John Lucas offered his “father” (uncle) his facility in Houston to help Tyrann detox and get a new mind set, which is most important.

Any future Tyrann has in football, college or pro, is dependent upon his making it through Lucas’ program over the next months. From all reports from within LSU and those close to the program, Tyrann does not have a future at LSU. I wish Tyrann well in his pursuit of sobriety and mental and emotional healing.
