Police: suspended Rutgers D-lineman was charged with assault

Rutgers coach Kyle Flood announced Friday evening that defensive tackle Michael Larrow had been suspended for the first four games of the 2012 season. Now, we know why.

A police report obtained by the Newark Star-Ledger shows that Larrow was arrested and charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct late last month in New Brunswick, NJ, after he was involved in an altercation with a female. The report states that the female, who is apparently Larrow’s girlfriend, pushed him and accused him of cheating on her. Larrow reportedly responded by pushing his girlfriend back with ”his hand to her face.”

Kids these days.

However, the unidentified female did not press charges and they’ve been dropped.

Larrow started the first five games last season before injuries sidelined him. He entered preseason camp in a position to start again, but fell down the depth chart late last week.

I just want to know if the female was also charged with assault and/or disorderly conduct.
