The incident allegedly happened in the first half and was reported by multiple media outlets.
The man, 20, was reportedly a Tennessee fan and was been taken to an Atlanta-area hospital. Per the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, the man fell on another fan, who was also taken to the hospital.
It’s not known if alcohol was involved, but here’s more on the situation.
Tennessee won tonight’s game by a final score of 35-21.
Updated 9/1 @ 8: 11 a.m. ET: Unfortunately, the worst fears for the man who fell from the upper level of the Georgia Dome have come to fruition. Per the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, the man, Isaac Grubb of Lenoir City, Tenn., was pronounced dead Friday night just before before midnight.
Our hearts go out to Grubb’s family during this time of tragedy.
He had to be trashed
Whether or not he was drunk he is in my prayers… that is sad… as well as whomever he landed upon. I hope they both recover completely. Go Vols!
Ugh… he died. R.I.P. Only twenty… tragic. I hope the person he fell on has a better outcome.
Weed is much safer than Miller Lites
That is just terrible news to hear. Both families are in my prayers.
Wasted for sure
Prayers go out to his family…..
GO VOLS
Mad because there was no moonshine!
Feel bad for family and the loss. However if it was his own doing, survival of the fittest finally takes hold. Weed out the weak and stupid before they breed, but that is said with assumption he did it to himself.
There’s one thing that ticks me off more than anything else on the internet….people who make jokes when someone has died. It’s disgusting. It doesn’t make you witty or cool. It makes you an a-hole. These are REAL PEOPLE, with loved ones who are grieving. The ones left behind will NEVER be the same.
So what if this guy contributed to his own death in some way? Those of you passing judgement…I guess you’ve never made mistakes? Never acted carelessly??? Yeah…we’ve all done stupid stuff, but most of us were lucky enough that we didn’t ruin or lose our lives (or anyone else’s). But that doesn’t make you better or smarter…it makes you blessed. And I guess some of you just don’t get it.
