Brady Hoke reinstates Fitz Toussaint, Frank Clark

The suspensions for Michigan running back Fitz Toussaint and defensive end Frank Clark will be for one game only.

Brady Hoke announced Monday that the two have been reinstated to the team after not making the trip to Dallas for last Saturday’s opener against Alabama.

“They are both going to play this week,” Hoke said. Michigan hosts Air Force.

Toussaint was arrested July 21 and hit with a drunk driving charge, but that was eventually reduced to operating a vehicle while visibly impaired, to which he pleaded guilty. Clark was charged around the same time as Toussaint with second-degree home invasion stemming from the alleged theft of a MacBook Air from a student’s dorm room this past June.

Hoke added that Clark has “paid a lot of consequences internally.”

While the reinstatement is good news for the Wolverines, there’s still plenty of bad news as cornerback Blake Countess has been lost for the season to a torn ACL.
