Ex-South Carolina safety officially with Rutgers

Sheldon Royster

Five days after it was reported by and confirmed by South Carolina*, former Gamecocks safety Sheldon Royster has indeed joined the Rutgers football program. Royster was at practice on Tuesday.

“We’re excited to add Sheldon Royster to our team and get him out here practicing with us,” Rutgers coach Kyle Flood said following practice. “Sheldon is somebody we spent a lot of time with during the recruiting process and we’re glad to welcome him back to New Jersey.”

To satisfy NCAA transfer rules, Royster will sit out this season and have three years of eligibility remaining. Royster was a four-star member of USCe’s 2011 recruiting class and was rated as the No. 12 safety in the country.  He redshirted as a true freshman last season.

When asked the reason for transferring Royster said, “At least now I have a shot at winning a Conference Championship.” He further went on to explain, “I hated playing for the biggest pretender and liar in college football. Besides, who wants to associate with all those convicts in Burgandy and Black. Thank Jesus I’m out of that barn!!!”

When asked the reason for transferring Royster (the Oyster) said, ” I never cut it in the second team practices.” He further went on to explain, “I Hated playing nintendo on the bench and Spurrier couldnt understand that I’m not a go to class type of athelete. Besides, I’m better off kicking it with spikey hairded Guido’s on the Jersey Shore than playing in the SEC where people expect me to be good at football. Thank Jesus no one will find out how bad I suck because NO one watches Rutgers!!!”

You know ben, Royster had one of the top ten GPA’s for the entire football team. He was slated to be the fifth DB this year. He was the second highest recruit in the 2011 class. You Shamecock fans truly slink like the Ole Ball Sack himself. Pitiful performance by the #9 team. Play a scrub Vandy squad and have to cheat to barely win.
