TerBush to get start at QB for Purdue vs. Irish

Abruptly suspended shortly before the season opener Saturday, Purdue will have its starting quarterback back under center for its annual nonconference rivalry game this weekend.

Head coach Danny Hope announced during his radio show Monday that Caleb TerBush will start at quarterback for the Boilermakers when they take the field against Notre Dame Saturday. Roughly and hour before what turned out to be a 42-point win over Eastern Kentucky, Purdue announced that TerBush had been suspended for what was described as a violation of unspecified team rules.

Sixth-year senior Robert Marve started in place of TerBush, and responded with a career-high 295 passing yards and tying a career high with three touchdown passes.

Last season, TerBush started all 13 games for the Boilermakers.
