When Arkansas lines up in an epic battle this Saturday against Louisiana-Monroe, it’ll do so without its starting fullback Kiero Small.
Coach John L. Smith said that Small underwent surgery Thursday for a foot injury he suffered on Wednesday. The injury is said to be non-contact and Small is out indefinitely.
Small’s a two-way player as a fullback and linebacker, though he hasn’t seen the field as the latter. With Smal out, Arkansas will likely turn to redshirt freshmen Kody Walker and Grady Ollison.
