Updated: Indiana starting QB done for the year

Some Big Ten teams are having a rough Saturday. Penn State lost a tough game earlier against Virginia, Iowa is losing to Iowa State, Michigan is struggling a bit to pull away from Air Force and Wisconsin is currently in a battle with Oregon State.

Keeping with the Badgers, receiver Jared Abbrederis has been taken into the locker room for further evaluation after taking a nasty hit in the second quarter. There’s no official status on what his injury might be yet, but Cliff Kirkpatrick of the Corvallis Gazette-Times reports that an ambulance left the stadium in a hurry, possibly carrying Abbrederis. He had one catch for 26 yards today.

Additionally, Indiana’s starting quarterback Tre Roberson had to be carted off the field in an ambulance during the second quarter with what appeared to be a serious leg injury. It was later confirmed to be a broken leg and Roberson is done for the year.

Just an awful break for a team already struggling with offensive production issues.

Roberson had two rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown in the first half before suffering the injury. Indiana would win 45-6.
