Knee injury knocks Mizzou O-lineman out for game

Gary Pinkel AP

Things are going well for the Missouri Tigers in their SEC debut as they lead No. 7 Georgia 17-9 in the third quarter. Unfortunately for Mizzou, it’ll have to finish the game without starting lineman Elvis Fisher.

Fisher suffered what looked to be a knee injury late in the second quarter and had to be carted off the field (that seems to be an unfortunate trend today). Chris Gervino of KOMU reports that Fisher has an MCL injury, but the severity of it is unknown and Mizzou has not confirmed it.

In any case, Fisher’s done for the night. It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to know that’s a tough blow for the Tigers, especially if he’s going to be out  “a while” as reported.

Your comment: LOL Arkansas. Was unprofessional from a so called sports writer. After all we have been through death, Wilson out (maybe season) at half after leading 24-7 at half. Tevin Mitchell being carried off field on a stretcher and starting FB carried off. Classless.
