Knee injury knocks Mizzou O-lineman out for game

Things are going well for the Missouri Tigers in their SEC debut as they lead No. 7 Georgia 17-9 in the third quarter. Unfortunately for Mizzou, it’ll have to finish the game without starting lineman Elvis Fisher.

Fisher suffered what looked to be a knee injury late in the second quarter and had to be carted off the field (that seems to be an unfortunate trend today). Chris Gervino of KOMU reports that Fisher has an MCL injury, but the severity of it is unknown and Mizzou has not confirmed it.

In any case, Fisher’s done for the night. It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to know that’s a tough blow for the Tigers, especially if he’s going to be out “a while” as reported.
