Updated: Weather shortens Florida State’s rout of Savannah State

Apparently, there is a God. And He wears Savannah State orange and blue.

After getting torched 84-0 by Oklahoma State in Week 1 and becoming 70-point underdogs to No. 6 Florida State, it appears the Tigers will be getting their first break of the season. Because of inclement weather, the game between FSU and SSU had only a 10-minute halftime and a running clock for the entire second half, per FSU’s athletic department.

There was already a lightening delay in the first half.

Florida State won when the game was finally called in the third quarter, 55-0.

This game had no business taking place to begin with. The sooner it was over with, the better.
