Beavers add transfer lineman

Two games -- and one huge upset -- into the 2012 season and Oregon State has already beefed up its offensive line for the 2013 season.

The Beavers announced Friday that David Keller has signed a financial aid agreement to attend and OSU and will transfer into the football program from Fresno State. The lineman will not be eligible to play in 2012 as he must sit for the NCAA’s mandatory transfer season.

“We are excited that David has made the decision to join our program,” head coach Mike Riley said in a statement. “David is a very talented player and he will immediately help our team improve, even though he will be a practice player for this season.”

Keller was a three-star member of Fresno State’s 2012 -- yes, 2012 -- recruiting class after signing with the Bulldogs this past February. As OSU noted, Keller will have three years of eligibility remaining, to be completed in four years, starting with the 2013 season as a sophomore.
