Status of pair of Rutgers O-lineman up in the air against USF

After two cupcake nonconference games, Rutgers opens up Big East play on Thursday against South Florida. When the Scarlet Knights take on the Bulls, they may be without two offensive lineman.

Coach Kyle Flood said Sunday that starting center Betim Bujari and starting right guard Andre Civil are questionable for the game.

I’m more optimistic about Betim than I am Andre Civil,” Flood said. “But I’m not ready to say either is going to play on Thursday night.”

Both lineman have what is classified as lower body injuries.

If Bujari and Civil can’t go, Matt McBride and Taj Alexander will take their respective spots along the line.
