The roller coaster that’s been Mustafa Greene‘s career at North Carolina State has taken yet another downward twist.
Prior to the Wolfpack’s game against South Alabama, NCSU announced that the running back had been suspended for the game. Obviously, the reason given was unspecified violation of team rules.
Greene had led NCSU in rushing in each of the team’s first two games this season.
This is the latest obstacle Greene has been forced to overcome in his two-plus seasons at the school.
After leading the team in rushing his true freshman season in 2010, he missed the 2011 season due to a foot injury. He missed the majority of spring practice this year as he focused on academics, and was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in mid-April.
