APAfter enrolling at Alabama in January of this year after transferring in from the JUCO ranks, Travell Dixon abruptly decided to leave the Tide football program shortly after the start of summer camp because of personal reasons.
A month later, it appears the cornerback has found a new campus to ply his football wares.
First reported by Scout.com, Dixon has decided to transfer to Washington and play for the Huskies. If the move officially comes to fruition, Dixon would be forced to sit out the 2012 season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules — he’d be permitted to practice with his new team — and be eligible to play in 2013.
A JUCO All-American last season, Dixon was a non-qualifier academically coming out of high in 2010. He was rated by Rivals.com as a four-star player prior to signing with the Tide.
