Carlos Hyde likely out for Buckeyes’ game vs. UAB, too

After starting at running back the first two games this season, Carlos Hyde missed Saturday’s win over Cal due to injury.

As it turns out, that’ll (probably) be the case this Saturday as well.

Head coach Urban Meyer confirmed Monday that the back is not expected to play this weekend against UAB. Hyde sprained an MCL in the first half of the Week 2 win over UCF.

Jordan Hall, the projected starter exiting spring practice before injuring his foot over the summer, returned from the injury to start in place of Hyde. The senior rushed for 87 yards in his first action of the 2012 season.
