Duron Carter’s hardship waiver denied

We know some many all of you are ready to move on from any and all news involving former Ohio State and Alabama wide receiver Duron Carter.

Good news for you. Barring a major off-the-field issue, you won’t have to hear about him for the foreseeable future. FAU coach Carl Pelini said that Carter’s request for a hardship waiver allowing the receiver to play this season has been denied, per FAUOwlAccess.com. Carter will still practice with the team and will be eligible in 2013 as a senior.

News of the ruling apparently came last week.

Carter landed at FAU last month after a one-year stint with the Tide. Coincidental enough, the Owls travel to Tuscaloosa this weekend to play Alabama, the second stop Carter’s collegiate journey (f you want to call it that).
