Arthur Brown gets the thumbs-up for K-State vs. Oklahoma

On Monday, Bob Stoops emphatically declared that one of his top defensive players would be a healthy go for this weekend’s game against Kansas State.

A day later, his mentor did the same with one of his top defensive players.

In the first quarter of Saturday’s win over North Texas (hahaha, Ben), Kansas States’ Arthur Brown suffered an injury to his right ankle. The standout linebacker ultimately returned to the game, but KSU head coach Bill Snyder intimated that the injury could linger into this weekend’s Big 12 matchup of ranked teams.

That fear was allayed Tuesday as Snyder confirmed that Brown will be available for the road game in Norman.

The fact that Brown will be available, regardless of how small the chance actually was that he wouldn’t actually play, is significant. The senior leads the Wildcats in tackles (28) and is third in tackles for loss (three), and has become the heart and soul of the KSU defense the past two seasons.
