Starting Yellow Jackets receiver has change of heart

Paul Johnson AP

Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson confirmed Wednesday that wide receiver Jeremy Moore had decided to leave his football program due to “some personal reasons… he’s struggled with it before.”

Three days later?  Never mind about the whole transfer thing.

Johnson acknowledged Friday evening that Moore has apparently had a change of heart and wants to return to the football team.  The two individuals spoke on Thursday, and it appears likely that the receiver will be permitted to return.

Moore will not dress for today’s game against Miami, with, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution notes, Jeff Greene and Darren Waller getting the starting nods at WR against the Hurricanes.

Moore had started the first three games of the season, and totaled three catches for 64 yards.  Those were the first catches of his Tech career, and they all came in a Week 2 win.
