Poll: the No. 1 team in the country is...

Thanks to losses by Arizona, Clemson, Oklahoma and UCLA, the ranks of the ranked unbeatens has been thinned from 20 to 16.

Two of those -- the Tigers and Sooners -- were in the Top 10 in the most recent Associated Press poll, meaning a sizable shakeup to the the top half or so of the polls could be in the offing when the latest are released early Sunday afternoon.

Most of the Top 10, though, came away from Week 4 relatively unchallenged, although No. 2 LSU escaped with a two-point win at Auburn. Other than that, every other top-10 team left the weekend with a double-digit win stuffed firmly in its back pocket.

In the upcoming Fifth Quarter, I’ll still have Alabama No. 1 for the third consecutive week. What say ye, though. Who should be the No. 1 team in the country nearly a third of the weekends into the 2012 season?
