Bret Bielema ‘not overly concerned’ about Ball’s concussion

For the second time the last two months, Wisconsin running back Montee Ball suffered a concussion. His most recent one came last Saturday in a win over UTEP which sidelined him for most of the game.

Although he’s not cleared just yet Ball’s concussion should not prevent him from playing this Saturday against Nebraska, according to Badgers coach Bret Bielema.

“Montee will get evaluated, has the possibility of practicing on Tuesday,” Bielema said Monday. “We’ll see where that goes.”

Bielema added that he’s “not overly concerned” that Ball won’t play against the No. 22 Cornhuskers.

Ball suffered a concussion before the start of the season when he was attacked by five assailants late one night in early August. As a result, Ball sat out part of fall practice. Three of those assailants have been charged in the case.
