APSuddenly, Arkansas’ game against Texas A&M, which the Razorbacks have dominated in recent years, becomes crucial in preventing a four-game slide as the Hogs try to turn the season around.
To make matters worse, Arkansas will be without tight end Chris Gragg and safety Eric Bennett, per coach John L. Smith.
Gragg’s injury is a bone bruise he suffered last weekend against Rutgers and Bennett has been hampered with a hamstring injury. Gragg has been one of Tyler Wilson‘s favorite targets this season. He is second on the team with 19 receptions for 234 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Bennett ranks among the top 10 defenders with 19 tackles and two pass break-ups.
Arkansas needs all hands on deck at this point, and not just for availability, but for leadership as well.
People can no longer blame John L. Smith for the underachievements at Arkansas this season. The Razorbacks were highly overrated coming into this season and they do not have enough talent on the roster to win the SEC nor play in a BCS game.
If Arkansas does not go ahead and hire a coach “in-waiting”,
they are going to lose a bunch of recruits that may commit,
Or were planning to commit. The uncertainty will hurt their
recruiting. That dumb AD better get off his rear end!
Who exactly do you think they will get at this point in the season? Its not like Arkansas had a ton of four and five star recruits lining up anyway, even when Bobby was there.
John l. smith is senile. They need somebody, anybody.
guess they should have never fired Petrino to begin with…suspend the guy for the summer or the first two games of the regular season, but the damage has been done now…
what I can seem to find an answer for is the Arky defense….didnt they bring back 9 starters? man, they are horrible.
what has been a very easy game for the last three years for them vs a&m, will probably be their fourth loss of the season…
I dont think Arky can beat anyone in the sec right now, including vandy and mizzou…
race to the bottom
