J.W. Walsh getting the start at QB for Oklahoma State

J. W. Walsh, Boris Anyama AP

Oklahoma State didn’t release an injury report Friday to keep coy about the health status of starting quarterback Wes Lunt. Not surprisingly, it’s because Lunt wasn’t ready to go.

Cowboys backup quarterback J.W. Walsh took the field for the first offensive series tonight against No. 12 Texas, which went for touchdown thanks to a 69-yard run from Joseph Randle.

Lunt, who suffered a knee injury two weeks ago in a win over Louisiana-Lafayette, is currently on the sidelines without pads.

OSU leads Texas 7-0 early.
