APAn undisclosed leg injury has kept Rutgers running back Savon Huggins out for the past two games. Fortunately for Rutgers, and fellow running back Jawan Jamison, the former four-star back should be returning for this Saturday’s game against UConn.
“I’m feeling a lot better,” said Huggins said via the Newark Star-Ledger. “That bye week (last week) really helped me recover and get better, let me do a lot of rehab. I’ll be back.”
Jamison has been the team’s workhorse in Huggins’ absence, rushing for nearly 500 yards on around 25 carries a game.
Huggins missed most of last season with a knee injury and apparently suffered a similar, yet less severe, injury two weeks ago. He has 70 yards on the ground this season and a touchdown.
Nice to see the Fighting Snookies playing so well.
Good to have Huggy back take some pressure off of Jamison.
