APFrom Gonzaga point guard to Baylor cornerback, Demetri Goodson has become one of the top defenders for the Bears’ defense*. For the next couple of months, however, Goodson will not be available.
Goodson left early during last Saturday’s loss against West Virginia with an apparent arm injury and did not return. On Wednesday, coach Art Briles confirmed that Goodson has a broken arm and will need surgery. The corner could be back in as little as six weeks, although that appears to be on the short end of the timeline for return.
Through four games, Goodson ranked among the top 10 Baylor defenders in tackles (16), had one interception and had two pass break-ups.
(*Chuckle)
Hilarious footnote! Stole my thunder. Well played, sir!
Well, as long as Briles can get Baylor scoring 80+ points/game, they still have a glimmer of hope to make a bowl game.
