Updated: James Franklin has a strained MCL, out ‘a few weeks’

That would be the Missouri quarterback James Franklin, not the Vanderbilt head coach.

Franklin’s already missed one game this season because of a shoulder injury, now he’ll miss the rest of tonight’s game against the Commodores with a sprained left knee. Franklin sustained the injury in the first half and reportedly will not return. He was 5-of-9 for 56 yards at the time of the injury.

Corbin Berkstresser has come in and struggled, completing just four passes on 14 attempts for 29 yards. The Tigers ground game is picking up the slack, but Vanderbilt still leads 9-6 early in the third quarter.
