Adam Hall no longer part of the Arizona football program

Twice in the past two years, Adam Hall suffered torn ACLs. Now, nearly six months after suffering the second season-ending injury, the defensive back is no longer a part of the Arizona football program.

First-year Wildcats head coach Rich Rodriguez confirmed that Hall hasn’t been around the team, either for practices or meeting, for weeks. In fact, Rodriguez doesn’t appear to even know the whereabouts of the now-former Wildcat.

“Maybe he’s doing rehab or something like that, but I haven’t seen him as part of our daily program,” Rodriguez said according to the Arizona Daily Star. “It’s been about a month. I’ve been working with the guys who have been here every day.”

Despite the fact that Hall has not been -- and apparently will not be -- around the football program, he remains on scholarship. As for the player’s future, the Daily Star surmises that, should Hall’s knees permit him to continue his collegiate playing career, Oklahoma could be a potential landing spot.

Hall is a senior with a redshirt year remaining; should he graduate on time, Hall would have the option to transfer as a fifth-year player without having to sit out. Oklahoma would be an intriguing option: Former UA coach Mike Stoops, former linebackers coach Tim Kish and former secondary coach Ryan Walters are all part of the Sooners’ defensive staff.

In late March of last year, Hall suffered what was later diagnosed as a torn ACL. While he ultimately returned to play in an early October game, he was shutdown for the remainder of the season after aggravating the injury.

As a true sophomore in 2010, Hall, a four-star member of UA’s 2009 recruiting class, finished fourth on the team in tackles with 54.
