Report: USF trustees chair quite unhappy with Skip Holtz

South Florida’s athletic director Doug Woolard was careful with his words earlier this week when he released a statement regarding Skip Holtz‘s status as the team’s head coach.

“I know Skip, his staff and the players are working diligently to get that next win, and to find sustained success,” Woolard wrote. “Certainly, the results, in terms of wins and losses to date, are disappointing to everyone involved with our program — the coaches, the players, athletic administration and our passionate fans.”

The chairman of the school’s board of trustees, John Ramil, was more direct with his. In an email to university president Judy Genshaft obtained by the Tampa Bay Times via an open records request, Ramil called USF’s loss to Temple last Saturday “disgusting and unacceptable.”

We have major problems with our football program.”

Some USF fans have voice similar concerns with the Bulls at 2-4 this season, so those cries aren’t lost on deaf ears within the university. How much time Holtz has to turn things around isn’t clear yet, but there’s no doubt that the locals are getting restless.
