Oklahoma putting a Red River Rout on Texas

Blake Bell, Steve Edmond, Mykkele Thompson, Demarco Cobbs AP

Following a Blake Bell touchdown to put Oklahoma up 6-0 on Texas, Longhorns cornerback Quandre Diggs picked up a blocked extra point and took it all the way for two points.

Nothing else has gone right for Texas since.

The No. 13 Sooners are thoroughly ending No. 15 Texas right now, leading 36-2 at the half.

Bell has four of Oklahoma’s touchdowns and Texas is powerless to stop what they know is coming.  Defense as a whole is still underperforming for the Longhorns in a big way, but total number of plays is 52-22 in favor of OU No defense can be expected to survive when it gets no help from the other side of the ball.

The Sooners dropped an early season game to Kansas State at home — the Wildcats, by the way, are in a fist fight with Iowa State right now — but have rebounded nicely and still look like serious Big 12 contenders.

Texas? Not so much. Not this year.

Boomer Sooner! Everyone in Nebraska is rooting for you Sooners. We all miss those great November games for control of the Big 8.

Mack brown. Gary pinkel. 2 most overrated coaches in college history. Both will be destroyed today. Hook em. Lol. Hope huskers hire Paul Rhodes before Texas does. Screw sooners. Spongebob bowl flops

Obviously Oklahoma studied game tape of Texas piss poor tackling. Texas can’t cover or tackle and haven’t all year. And now the Texas line can’t block either. This is getting hard to watch. Whoops, there goes another missed tackle.

Predicted the Sooners would know how to beat Texas, maybe I should have predicted Oklahoma knew how to stomp Texas.

Maybe they can give Mack a golden chair and put him out to pasture….where longhorns graze.

Texas fans should be thankful that they indeed are not playing A&M this season. So much talent, so high recruiting year in and year out, but something is awry.

    In the State of Texas:

    1–Texas A&M
    3–Texas Tech
5–Texas ???? “The Least with the Most”

The worst exhibition of tackling in recent memory!!!!

This is definately a coaching failure. Texas is just too talented to take a beating like this – taking nothing away from Oklahoma, mind you. Sooners are firing on all cylinders – both sides of the ball.

congrats to oklahoma for winning todays game in big fashion 63-21…the dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball…

now, as a Texas fan, this is the worst Texas defense I have ever seen. The absolutely worst…they cannot and will not tackle….they cannot get off of blocks..they cant cover in the secondary…..I know these guys are young, as there areonly two seniors on defense, five juniors and six sophomores, but most of these guys were highly recrutied, and either they arent the players every one thought they were or the coaching is highly suspect.

the coaching right now is awful…we saw shades of that in the Ole Miss game, but it was overshadowed because UT had 663 yards of total offense…but in the last three weeks, the UT defense has given up over 240 yards rushing each game…OU had 689 yards total offense and 357 yards rushing….three hundred and fifty freaking seven….let that sink in for a moment…

weak C-USA or Sun Belt schools dont give up 357 yards rushing, so something needs to be done.

I have given Mack Brown the benefit of the doubt, but he has turned into the Tulane coach Mack Brown….Def Coordiantor Manny Diaz is a got dayum joke….rumor had it that UT had an “SEC type” defense….WTF does that mean? were they Alabama/LSU like or Vandy/Kentucky like…well, even Vandy and UK dont let mofos run for three straight 200 plus yards on the ground…

its might be time to put Mack Brown out to pasture and let him live off of the fat of the land…I cant believe I just said that….going to get another beer…Im ticked off

I’m an OU fan and I’m stunned. Stunned at how a school with a supposed “top 5 recruiting class” each year has players who are so average. Stunned at how UT manages to, not lose, but get hammered and embarassed. Stunned at how the ‘horns don’t have the stomach for the fight. I don’t have LHN, but I’d love to watch this week and see how they’re gonna put lipstick on this pig.
