Texas Tech is, deservedly so, receiving praise and accolades for its 49-14 thumping of previously-No. 5 West Virginia last Saturday. The Red Raiders’ victory is not, however, without a couple of drawbacks.
Tommy Tuberville said Monday that receivers Javon Bell (pictured) and Brad Marquez are out for the rest of the season with foot and knee injuries, respectively. The two receivers were injured in the win against the Mountaineers.
Bell had Marquez were the fourth and fifth-leading receivers on the team. Bell had 17 receptions for 269 yards and a touchdown, while Marquez had 16 receptions for 172 yards.
