Here at CFT, we know what the people want. And what we’ve discovered is that you, the reader, want more updates on former Stanford/Notre Dame/Washington head coach Tyrone Willingham.
Your wish is our command.
Per the South Bend Tribune, the former Stanford head coach is back on The Farm as an assistant for the women’s golf team.
Former Notre Dame head football coach and Stanford head football coach Tyrone Willingham has retired from football — but not from coaching.
He is currently a volunteer assistant coach for the Stanford women’s golf team, and reportedly is a specialist at helping the golfers with the psychology of the game.
Willingham left the Cardinal in 2001 after seven seasons — it was by far his most successful stint with a 44-36-1 record — to take the head coaching job at Notre Dame, where he was fired after three seasons. He then became the coach of the Washington Huskies, where he was again let go when UW went 0-12 in 2008.

Don’t. Have. The. Words.
Perfect spot. Low score wins.
Hey Ty. Thanks for setting back UW’s football program a decade. Appreciate it dude.
Pussy.
Sounds like free golf to me…Nice gig.
So that’s why they always referred to Three Wood when seeing the initials TW. Guess all that time on the golf course (when he should have been on the recruiting trail) finally paid off. He should run for POTUS.
Poor Ty has already been relieved of his duties. After this story was reported, the Stanford athletic dept issued a statement that he’s no longer working w/ the team. He was a volunteer asst thru May until the HC retired. Her replacement decided to end the relationship w/ Coach Willingham…which means she’s a racist.
