An ankle injury against Indiana two weeks ago is apparently still giving Michigan State tight end Dion Sims problems. Sims, who is still the team’s second-leading receiver despite missing last week’s game against Iowa, is not on the Spartans’ updated two-deep for this Saturday’s game against Michigan.
Mark Dantonio told media today he’ll “know more about it this week.” I would wager a hefty amount that Sims is unavailable against the Wolverines.
Prior to his injury, Sims led the Spartans in receptions (24), receiving yards (313) and touchdown catches (two). He was replaced by backup Paul Lang, who caught his first pass last month against Ohio State.
