Getty ImagesThe first 78 seconds of tonight’s Oregon-Arizona State game pretty much had it all. A fumble, a pair of touchdowns and a two-point conversion.
Unfortunately for ASU, the early portion of tonight’s game also meant a pair of injuries along the defensive line. The team’s leader in sacks, defensive tackle Will Sutton, suffered a knee injury while forcing a Kenjon Barner fumble on Oregon’s first possession. The exact nature of the injury isn’t known, but Sutton has been sitting on the sidelines with his knee wrapped in ice. ESPN reports that Sutton’s return is possible, but that might be optimistic.
Defensive end Junior Onyeali left the game a short while later with what appeared to be an arm/shoulder injury. Like Sutton, Onyeali’s return is unknown right now.
Arizona State doesn’t have a lot of depth along the D-line and losing easily its two best players along the D-line could prove to be devastating as the game goes on.
The No. 2 Ducks have an early 15-7 lead on the Sun Devils.
Sorry for these two young men. But I’m LOVIN watch Todd Graham getting schooled on High Octane Football!!! What a douchebag?
whoever wanted to put this game on national tv should be fired.
