Ankle injury will sideline TCU DE against Texas Tech

Gary Patterson, Stansly Maponga AP

TCU will finish the season without starting quarterback Casey Pachall because of yet another run-in with substance abuse. The Horned Frogs will also take the field Saturday without a key member of their defensive line because of injury.

Per Stefan Stevenson of the Forth Worth Star-Telegram, defensive end Stansly Maponga will not play today against Texas Tech because of an ankle injury he suffered last week against Baylor. Maponga suffered the injury in the first half against the Bears last week and did not return.

Maponga appeared in all six games for TCU this season, recording 12 tackles plus 2 tackles for loss and a sack.
