Apparently, Buckeye Nation can exhale a huge sigh of relief.
All-Everything quarterback Braxton Miller was injured late in the third quarter of No. 7 Ohio State’s 29-22 overtime win over Purdue and, after being carted off the field and into the locker room, was taken via ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment.
In updating Miller’s condition, OSU officials said that the player’s head, neck and shoulders were all checked out and he has been given a clean bill of health. The school stated that Miller is “symptom-free of all ailments and is doing fine.”
The initial fear was that Miller suffered a concussion.
The release updating Miller’s health went on to state that "[h]e is in the process of being released from the hospital.”
There was no update on Miller’s availability for next Saturday’s road game against Penn State, although the initial update sounds extremely positive.
